You are going to be in for a big suprise. That is not an easy job.

Those bearings are pressed into the hub assembly, and will require you to completely reove the hubs from the car. This is going to include removal of the brake calipers, CV shafts, Struts, (disconnected from the hub at the top), the ball joint removed from the bottom. And the steering end links to your Rack and Pinion.

Now that is not the interesting part. You then get to reinstall all of that, then head down to an alignment shop and have your wheels re-aligned.

The new bearings are not super expensive, but they will require being pressed into the hub after the old ones are removed. Its not the parts that are the expensive part, its the labor, plus the alignment.

A word of caution. Remember the front suspension is under spring tension, so if you don't have the proper strut compressor, things are going to get a little exciting.

I would recommend that you let a shop that is properly equipped deal with this job. Should one of those springs cut loose while you are working under there, you might have a little extra Iron in your diet you weren't counting on.

I have a close friend who lost his finger to such an accident, and I had to rush him to the ER. Needless to say, after that event, I let the shops handle that work.

I hope I helped you out!

Good LuckCan anyone tell me how to change my front wheel bearings for my 93 toyota paseo?detailed if poss.?Quite a straight forward job and if you are equipped with power tools should be over by 2 hours.

Cost about $200 to change both bearings and include replacement charge.

Suggest get it replace by the workshop. Can anyone tell me how to change my front wheel bearings for my 93 toyota paseo?detailed if poss.?auto zone senior diagnostician.....LMAOCan anyone tell me how to change my front wheel bearings for my 93 toyota paseo?detailed if poss.?Your biggest obstacle is going to be the shop press. You are not going to have one and it would cost you more than the value of your car to get one.

You will need a 30 mm socket and appropriate drive tool to remove the axle nut, a 17 mm socket to remove the brake caliper assy from the steering knuckle, also the strut bolts that hold it to the knuckle are the same size, dikes to pull the cotter pin from the tie rod fastener. After the tie rod fastener is off this is where the hammer comes in. A few sharp blows to the part of the knuckle where the tie rod goes into will pop the tie rod out. Be careful to not hit the tie rod end threads or else you are going for a new one. Then 3 bolts hold the lower control arm to the knuckle 14 or 17 mm. Take that out and you are almost there.

This is the part where you may want to go to a shop before hand and ask them if they would install the bearings for you. If you can find a taker, you are in business. They will put your bearings in for you and all you will have to do is re-assemble the thing.

You will not be able to remove the bearings on your own. They are easily pressed in and out, so let the shop do this unless you know someone who has access to a press and could do you a favor. There is a seal kit you will need for each bearing that are a little difficult to install with out the proper tools and a seal driver kit can set you back some dough.

If you want to have a shop do it, should be in the ballpark of 3.5-4 labor hours and about 100-120 bucks for parts to do both sides.

There is also the issue of the actual hub being worn which is a possibility. The hub is actually the part that has your wheel studs on it. If the bearings are excessively worn you may need to replace one or both of these. These will run you about 100 dollars each new if needed. Can anyone tell me how to change my front wheel bearings for my 93 toyota paseo?detailed if poss.?all the people are right ,you need a shop with a press to do it. I usually strip it down and take it to the shop to let them press it and they usually only charge about 25 to do it. Front wheel drive bearings are just to hard to get out without a press.
